The Olympic Club: Hole 5

The fifth hole, a long 498 yard par 4, plays opposite to hole 4.  The fairway here slopes right to left while the hole doglegs left to right.  A fade is required for right-handed hitters to land in the fairway.  Trees line the shot area.  The approach shot is downhill and usually plays with the wind.  The green is one of the simpler greens on the course.
