TaylorMade has strayed from it's traditonal driver naming scheme and has announced the 2013 driver will be called the R1 driver. The driver features the trademark white crown, but now with a busier design. It features red and black stripes crossing near the back of the crown. It also features a silver stripe on the crown as well. The new sole plate will allow for +/- 3 degrees of face angle change. And it still features the Flight Control Technology.
All in all, TaylorMade has released a driver to compete for the busiest and most complicated looking golf club ever. But it will be marketed heavily and many will purchase this club. If it works, it will be another hit from TaylorMade.
