Some notes from The Players
- Rory McIlroy missed his first cut in over a year anywhere in the world. He has yet to make a cut in three Players appearances.
- Tiger Woods showed signs of solid play, but struggled home to a finish of T40 at 1-under par
- Rickie Fowler carded his 3rd straight top 10 to move into 8th place in the FedEx Cup standings
- The lowest round of the tournament was 65, carded by Ian Poulter and Martin Laird day 1 and Bob Estes and David Toms day 4.
- Matt Kuchar finished 2nd in strokes gained putting and 5th in putts per GIR.
- Rickie Fowler led the field in GIR with an astounding 77.8%. His putting let him down
- Tiger Woods finished 2nd in the field in Driving Distance
